Melissa Ancheta

Melissa’s professional background began at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she held a range of roles spanning administration, finance, and research administration. She advanced her career at Stanford University, serving in diverse finance and research administration positions across multiple schools. As a Finance Manager in the Department of Psychology, Melissa was the primary financial liaison while partnering closely with the School of Humanities & Sciences Dean’s Office, faculty, administrators, and staff. In this capacity, she oversaw select departmental funds as well as all faculty fund portfolios, leading budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure management within established compliance frameworks.

Melissa maintains a deep personal connection to Maui, where her family has longstanding roots and where she embraces her appreciation for Hawaiian culture. In her personal time, she enjoys being with her family, cooking, and is an avid enthusiast of football and wrestling.
