Biography

Alexander Waller is a career US Air Force Cyberspace Operator with a background in cyberspace operations, red teaming, and technical education. Most recently he served as a campaign planner for Air Forces Cyber.

His research examines how a high-low mix of cyberspace capabilities can be developed, organized, and utilized to deliver both scale and strategic effect on the battlefield, mirroring the broader high-low acquisition strategy the Department of War is pursuing. Getting this mix right will depend on the balance of workforce talent, emerging technology and artificial intelligence, and human-machine teaming across cyberspace operations and joint warfighting overall.

In his free time, Waller enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and woodworking. In his own words "those who work in the cyber domain need to occasionally get outside or make something in the real world to remain grounded."
