Michael McNerney
Biography
Mike McNenrey is a cybersecurity and national security executive with two decades spanning U.S. government service and private-sector leadership. He began his career as an Air Force officer and Foreign Affairs Officer at the State Department before serving as Cyber Policy Advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Since transitioning to the private sector, he has built and led cybersecurity and compliance organizations at the growth and enterprise stages, most recently as Chief Compliance Officer of Arkenstone Defense.
He chairs the Institute for Security and Technology, a policy institute working at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and national security, and serves as Senior Advisor to Resilience. He also sits on the board of VetsinTech.
He holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from UC Davis.
