Bio

Jody joined the Centers for International Security and Cooperation and the Cyber Policy Center as Communications Manager in 2020. Prior to joining the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, she managed communications for Stanford’s Center for Innovation in Global Health, where she created the Center’s messaging strategy, redesigned the website and worked with the School of Medicine’s Office of Communications to create the global health-themed edition of Stanford Medicine Magazine.

An award-winning journalist, Jody started her career writing for the Los Angeles Times, the Rocky Mountain News, Sports Illustrated, ESPN Magazine and other national magazines and newspapers. She was a Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford and co-authored The Loyalist Team: How Trust, Candor and Authenticity Create Great Organizations, and ran communications operations on several political campaigns.
