Leading constitutional theorist discusses wars for 21st century

Bobbitt
Philip Bobbitt, a Columbia University law professor and one of the nation's leading constitutional theorists, spoke about his forthcoming book, Terror and Consent: The Wars for the 21st Century, at Stanford Law School on March 6. Bobbitt argued that as an idea, the so-called "war on terror" does not make sense. He said states need to change their understanding of terrorism and war to confront these challenges more strategically. CISAC and the Stanford Constitutional Law Center cosponsored the event, which was presented by the Stanford Center on Ethics through the Arrow Lecture Series on Ethics and Leadership.
